The Best Manager

🚨 Trending topic: Do you need to be a clear manager or a cool one?
Think about it—your “cool” boss might be the one who checks in on your weekend, cracks jokes on team calls, maybe even parties with you after work.
Feels nice, right?
But when it really counts, what saves you is clarity.
The best managers I’ve ever had were the ones who laid it all out from Day 1:
✅ Here’s how I work.
✅ Here’s how I’ll support you.
✅ Here’s what I expect you to own completely.
✅ Here’s where I don’t want to be bothered.
No guesswork. No mind-reading. Just direction over decoration.
And let’s be real—you hate second-guessing your boss too:
👉 Do they expect WhatsApp replies at midnight?
👉 Are weekly 1:1s a must, or should you just ping when stuck?
👉 Does “work family” actually mean anything?
Here’s my deal:
• If it’s urgent, I’ll call you.
• For decisions, I want emails—because reflection matters.
• I don’t do “work family.” I do professionalism, even in casual teams.
Because clarity builds trust.
And trust builds everything else.
💡 Now here’s a thought: If you’re leading a team—are you being clear enough, or just trying to be “cool”?
